This halmari tea is a classic Assam, featuring tippy leaves with golden tips. It is medium bodied with a malty flavour that is accompanied with an aroma that is pronounced with notes of rose and nuts. The ends with a distinctly assam aftertaste.

The liquor is medium bodied, slightly brisk and rolls in your mouth giving aroma resembling roses and fresh nuts. The flavour is malty that slowly disappears, leaving a distinct assam after taste.

DRY LEAVES
The leaves are well graded with black and tippy leaves and a lot of golden tips. It bears resemblance to the aroma of fresh cut grass accompanied with rosy hints.
INFUSED LEAF
The leaves are evenly graded with coppery brown appearance that are features of a good assam black tea. There is a hint of rose and nuts.

Assam is in close one of the most biodiversity rich region with close to 507 million kg production of tea, making it the world’s largest tea growing region. Assam is known for producing both orthodox and CTC varieties of tea. The teas produced here are simply called Assam Tea. However, only the teas grown in the estates from Brahmaputra Valley are qualified to called Assam teas.

Halmari Tea Estate
Halmari is situated in the lush plains of upper Assam. It is one of the oldest tea estates of the region and is ranked among the best nine in the world. A sprawling 534 hectares of land, rich inh loamy soil. Since 1913, the Daga family has taken over the estate. It specializes in orthodox tea and their CTC is amongst the most sought after in the world.

Loose leaf teas are the best for consumption as one is able to brew the leaves properly while also enjoying maximum benefits from the tea leaves with quality tea experience. When steeped, loose leaf tea gives the complex flavours of tea that one can enjoy only in good quality teas. Also tea leaves need adequate space to properly unfurl while brewing. So, for a flavourful and wholesome tea experience use loose leaf tea.

We recommend a certain temperature (80-85 C; 90-95 C) for the fresh oxygen rich filtered water to be boiled at the time of brewing the tea. This is only a guide and precision without a thermometer is challenging. You can simply boil and see for yourself. Boiling water is at 100 C, if you leave it for 30 sec it should be around 90-95 C, if you leave it for 40-45 sec it should be around 85-90 C and for 1 minute leave water at around 80-85 C.

Spoon measured the quantity of tea in the tea maker/pot. Pour boiled water (150 ML) over the tea leaves(2 g). Steep for suggested time (4-5 minutes). Strain & sweeten as per choice. Pour it in a cup and enjoy the #PluckToCup experience.

We vacuum package our tea in High Barrier Aluminium Pouches to ensure freshness of the teas. We recommend that you store the teas in airtight container in a cool, dry and odour free place. This keeps it away from air, light and surrounding odour. Thereby ensuring longer shelf life and quality experience of the tea.

Our teas can be used from 18 to 24 months from the date of manufacturing. However, teas once opened have to be stored in airtight containers and should be kept away from moisture, light and odour.
