Loose leaf teas are the best for consumption as one is able to brew the leaves properly while also enjoying maximum benefits from the tea leaves with quality tea experience. When steeped, loose leaf tea gives the complex flavours of tea that one can enjoy only in good quality teas. Also tea leaves need adequate space to properly unfurl while brewing. So, for a flavourful and wholesome tea experience use loose leaf tea.
Darjeeling First Flush tea is one of the most prized and expensive in the market. It is so special and exclusive that tea connoisseurs consider the first harvest from this region to be the “Champagne” of teas. The First Flush is the picking of the brand new two leaves and a bud in the earliest spring growth of the plant, as early as February and often lasting through April. These early leaves are usually more delicate and tender. To preserve the spring leaf flavor, these teas are generally less oxidized during processing and may appear more greenish in color than a typical black tea.
We recommend a certain temperature (80-85 C; 90-95 C) for the fresh oxygen rich filtered water to be boiled at the time of brewing the tea. This is only a guide and precision, without a thermometer it is challenging. You can simply boil and see yourself. Boiling water is at 100 C, if you leave it for 30 sec it should be around 90-95 C, if you leave it for 40-45 sec it should be around 85-90 C and for 1 minute water should be at around 80-85 C.
Spoon measured the quantity of tea in the tea maker/pot. Pour boiled water (150 ML) over the tea leaves (2 g). Steep for suggested time (4-5 minutes). Strain and sweeten as per choice. Pour it in a cup and enjoy the #PluckToCup experience.
We vacuum package our tea in high barrier aluminium pouches to ensure freshness of the teas. We recommend that you store the teas in airtight container in a cool, dry and odour free place. This keeps it away from air, light and surrounding odour. Thereby ensuring longer shelf life and quality experience of the tea.
Our teas can be used upto 24 months from the date of manufacturing. However, teas once opened have to be stored in airtight containers and should be kept away from moisture, light and odour.
